Baked here every morning, in the amount we think we can sell by close. When the case is empty it stays empty until tomorrow.
Espresso
Our own blend, pulled short. Chocolate and dried cherry.
A double, marked with a spoon of foam.
Equal parts espresso and steamed milk, served in glass.
Six ounces, dense foam, nothing added to it.
Twelve ounces. Oat, almond or whole, no charge either way.
Dark or milk chocolate, ground here. Not syrup.
Steeped eighteen hours and poured over ice.
Filter
Whatever we roasted on Monday. Refills are free before ten.
Ask what is open. It changes every few weeks.
Eight minutes to brew, and enough for two cups.
Not coffee
Ceremonial grade, whisked rather than shaken.
Black tea, cardamom, ginger and a lot of black pepper.
Thick enough to stand a spoon up in.
Four or five on the shelf. Ask what they are.
Bakehouse
Three days from flour to counter, laminated by hand.
Yesterday's croissant, soaked, filled and baked again.
Orange zest and cinnamon sugar. Best before nine.
Hatch chile, sharp cheddar, more butter than is sensible.
Twisted, proofed overnight, brushed with syrup while warm.
Dark rye flour, too much chocolate, sea salt on top.
Naturally leavened. Whole loaf only, while they last.
Kitchen, until two
Two eggs, cultured butter, chives, thick toast.
On rye, with lemon, chile flake and black pepper.
Egg, potato, cheddar and our own chile.
Roasted here, with mustard and house pickles.
Evenings, Thursday to Saturday
The last of the day's loaves, warmed through.
Castelvetrano, orange peel and rosemary.
Whipped, with sherry and thyme.
Whatever is best that week, with honey.
Four by the glass. Ask what is open.
